I think that my wife and I will try the Prime Grill next week. I heard from a few friends that it is quite the place to eat, and it is pretty romantic to take my wife out from time to time. I feel like I do not give her what she deserves, but I am definitely trying my best to do so. Sometimes, it is just kind of hard to show her what I have for her. I think that it is such a wonderful thing for me to explore, and I know that my wife can truly appreciate this. She knows that I make less money than she does, but that I still try to cater to her whenever I can. It is not about the money, but the thought of it. I just want to be a romantic guy, and I want to put full effort into making her happy, even though it might not be with something very luxurious.

Anyway, I then talked to my chef about this and he told me that it was fine If I used a margarita machine, just this once. So then I used the margarita machine and made many margaritas.

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010Execution, from presentation to service and just about everything, is just spectacular when you go to Ristorante Avanti Italian restaurant in Santa Cruz. I have only been here a couple times but it is quickly becoming one of my favorite Italian Restaurants Santa Cruz.
The wine pairings were nothing short of amazing, it truly was and extension of the flavors and the aromas. The lime gel pallet cleanser was just perfect right before the main entrees which pretty much meant your meal was about to come to an end. Expect perfection between the balancing of each ingredient, not allowing one flavor to stand out but to blend in perfectly.
Not your typical fine dining and may be to adventurous for your traditional steak and lobster folks…
Take your time with the menu and ask questions. I would recommend the tasting menu with a big emphasis on doing the wine pairing. I will most definitely come back to Ristorante Avanti in Santa Cruz.
